What is the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR)?
The General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) will take effect on December 13, 2024, aimed at ensuring the sale of safe products to buyers in the EU and Northern Ireland (NI). This regulation applies to new and used products sold in these markets and imposes specific product safety information requirements on businesses.
What actions should sellers take?
For your listings under GPSR requirements, provide the following information:
① Name and contact details of the product manufacturer.
② If the manufacturer is not based in the EU or NI, you must provide the name and contact details of a responsible person or company located in the EU.
③ Product details such as model, images, CE marking, and related information.
④ Warnings and safety information, symbols, and product manuals, which must be in the local language.

Ⅰ. Create GPSR
There are two methods to create GPSR:
Method 1: Create on profile/listing editing page
Step 1: Enter the profile/listing edit page;
Step 2: Fill in the information of the product manufacturer and EU responsible person, upload regulatory document, select the product safety info;
Step 3: Click [Save as] in the upper right corner, enter the template name, and save as a template for quick reference next time.

Method 2: Create on the management page
Step 1: Click [Listing] > [GPSR] and go to the "GPSR" management page > click [Add];

Step 2: Enter the [Name],select [eBay account] and [site] > Add the product manufacturer、EU responsible person、regulatory documents and product safety info > Click [Save].

Ⅱ. Apply GPSR
Step 1: Enter the profile/listing edit page;
Step 2: Click [GPSR] module > [Select];

Step 3: Search for a template name or directly find the desired item specifics template, then click [Select] to quickly apply the template.
